Granny Snow, famous Vermont author, came to visit us today.

She read 3 books from her Silas Series.

And, she taught us a lot about how books are made.

Thanksgiving Luncheon

Here is our "Thanksgiving Tree". Each leaf contains something that we are thankful for. The students had no problem filling up so many leaves. If anything, we needed more leaves!

The star reached the end again! So, we had a piñata.

Instead of hitting the piñata, you had to pull a string. The correct string opens it up.

Inside the piñata were balloons, spinning tops, pencils...

Kindergarten and first grade were in the woods finding their trees and getting pictures with them.

Carrie Ryker from the nature center took our class out to the woods to observe and choose a tree to adopt. We also played predator and prey animal games.

Camp Out Day! Sleeping bags, card games, card houses, reading and coloring homecoming signs.

We are writing clues about ourselves for Open House tonight.

First graders painted the door today. Gabe designed it and all the students painted it!

Grace is in charge of calendar. Chase is writing today's date. Brooke is writing how many days we've been in school. And, Kaileigh is putting up the cloudy tag on the graph.

Day 1: Everyone was ready to go! Lots of smiling faces on the first day of school.
