Here we are honoring the Saints as we dress up and create portraits of them.

Shadows

After taking a science walk and leaning about shadows, we made a big class Halloween book called The Halloween Walk.

Oobleck!

We read Dr. Seuss' book, Bartholemew and the Oobleck. We learned about similes and then came up with similes to describe the oobleck we made!

Stuffed Animal Day

We earned a prize. The first graders voted on stuffed animal day. So each one brought a special "stuffy" to spend the day with us.

Reading Buddies

Every Thursday we read with our 3rd grade partners.

Students are working together to see how many words they can make using some magnetic letters.

The Rain Forest Puppet Show

The first graders worked hard creating this puppet show. First they each chose an animal from the Amazon rain forest using books and the Internet. Then together we wrote a script using all of the animals as characters.

 Luckily the 7th graders came to help us add embellishments to the puppets using hot glue guns. 

After painting the scenery, we recorded our voices reading the script. Voila, we were able to perform in front of each class in the school as well as parents and class friends like Mr. Favreau.
